Community Partners

Through our partnership with CarePortal, Circle of Hope can connect families facing difficult circumstances with local churches and caring individuals who are ready to respond in practical ways.

CarePortal helps families access items and assistance such as beds, baby essentials, clothing, household goods, transportation, and other urgent necessities that may fall outside what Circle of Hope can provide directly.

This partnership expands the circle of people able to step in when a family is struggling, helping us respond more quickly, address immediate challenges, and connect families with meaningful help when it is needed most.

Expectant and new mothers may be eligible for medical equipment and supplies through their health insurance, but many do not realize what is available or how to access it.

Through our work with AdaptHealth, Circle of Hope helps families navigate those benefits and obtain items such as breast pumps, lactation equipment, pregnancy and postpartum supplies, and other medically appropriate equipment ordered by a healthcare provider.

By making the process easier to understand and navigate, we can reduce practical barriers, limit unnecessary out-of-pocket costs, and help mothers obtain important equipment during pregnancy, postpartum, and the early months with a new baby.

Premier Moms

Through this collaboration, Circle of Hope connects mothers who are working, pursuing an education, or preparing for their next step with practical training, personalized mentoring and coaching, professional development, and meaningful networking opportunities.

Together, we help moms build confidence, strengthen workplace and academic skills, prepare for employment or advancement, explore educational opportunities, and set realistic goals for greater stability and independence.

At the heart of this work is a simple but important message: motherhood does not have to mean giving up on an education, a career, or long-term dreams. By working together, we can help mothers continue moving toward the future they envision while building greater opportunity and stability for themselves and their families.

Emotional well-being can be just as important as physical health during pregnancy and the months that follow. Our collaboration with Abundant Health & Wellness Counseling Services gives Circle of Hope clients access to individual behavioral health counseling specifically designed for women during pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into motherhood.

Karina Curtis, MA, a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida,

brings years of experience working with women through a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges, including anxiety, trauma, abuse, postpartum depression, postpartum rage, and postpartum PTSD. Her specialized training through the Gottman Institute includes Bringing Baby Home and Emotion Coaching.

By making counseling available alongside Circle of Hope’s medical, practical, and family services, women can receive professional emotional support as part of a more complete approach to their well-being—with someone who takes the time to listen, understand what they are facing, and help them move forward.

Circle of Hope partners with InnovexLab, a Gainesville-based clinical laboratory, to provide advanced testing for women’s health, urinary tract infections, and a broad range of sexually transmitted infections.

Their molecular and microbiological testing gives our medical team accurate, timely information to guide appropriate treatment and follow-up, including more complex infections and antimicrobial resistance when indicated.

This collaboration allows us to offer comprehensive testing with coordinated follow-up, helping patients move from symptoms and uncertainty to clearer answers and appropriate next steps.

Our collaboration with Happy Heart Imaging Service allows Circle of Hope to provide medical-grade obstetric ultrasound imaging with an exceptional level of physician oversight.

These examinations go beyond basic pregnancy confirmation. Images are independently reviewed by two board-certified radiologists and our medical director, and patients receive a detailed written report addressing important findings such as pregnancy location, gestational age, cardiac activity, development, and any concerns that may require medical follow-up.

Happy Heart Imaging Service brings advanced technology and extensive imaging expertise to each examination, helping us provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in a warm, personal setting.

This collaboration gives patients something especially valuable: carefully performed imaging, multiple layers of physician review, clear medical information, and appropriate follow-up when needed.

We are incredibly grateful for our collaboration with Alpha Center in Ocala, whose generosity helps Circle of Hope respond to some of the most immediate and practical needs families bring through our doors. By sharing much-needed baby supplies with us, Alpha Center helps ensure that parents facing difficult circumstances have access to essential items for their little ones when they need them most.

Their kindness extends far beyond the supplies themselves—it brings comfort, relief, and reassurance to families during vulnerable moments. We are truly thankful for Alpha Center’s generosity and for the meaningful difference this partnership makes in the lives of the parents and children we serve.

Description

Our collaboration with Read & Rise reflects something we care deeply about: helping families understand that literacy can begin during pregnancy and grow from the very first days of a baby’s life. Together, we encourage parents to read, talk, and sing to their babies before birth and continue those simple, meaningful routines throughout infancy—surrounding little ones with language, connection, and the comforting sound of a parent’s voice.

Through this partnership, families receive age-appropriate books, practical resources, and encouragement that support early language development, parent-child bonding, and a strong foundation for future reading and learning.

We love helping parents discover that some of the earliest building blocks of literacy can begin before a baby ever says a word—one voice, one story, and one loving connection at a time.

One Community Family Resource Center is a deeply valued partner and an important part of the circle of support surrounding the families we serve. Their compassionate team helps connect individuals and families with critical assistance for housing, food, utilities, employment, healthcare, and other essential needs.

We are very grateful for the way our organizations work side by side—sharing resources, making thoughtful referrals, and supporting one another so families can access help more easily and with greater continuity of care. Their partnership strengthens what we are able to offer, and we are truly thankful for the care, generosity, and commitment they bring to families throughout the Gainesville community.

We deeply value our relationship with Lifetime Adoption, a trusted resource for women considering whether adoption may be right for them and their babies. Their compassionate team provides personalized guidance, education, and ongoing support, helping expectant mothers understand their options and make thoughtful, informed decisions.

For those who choose to explore adoption, Lifetime Adoption can help them learn about prospective families, understand the process, create an adoption plan that reflects their wishes, and receive support throughout pregnancy and beyond placement.

We are especially appreciative of having a trusted resource we can confidently connect women with, knowing they will be met with kindness, patience, and genuine care.

Tiny Footprints in Ocala is an especially meaningful part of the Circle of Hope family. With incredible care and creativity, they make beautiful hand-sewn items—including their signature cloth napkins—and generously donate all proceeds to support the work of Circle of Hope.

Every item represents far more than thoughtful craftsmanship. It is a gift of time, talent, and heart that directly helps us continue serving mothers, babies, and families in need. Their generosity allows something lovingly made by hand to become practical help, encouragement, and hope for someone walking through our doors.

We are profoundly grateful for the love behind every stitch and for the extraordinary generosity of Tiny Footprints. Their support is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when someone uses their gifts to care for others—and we are deeply honored to have them beside us in this mission.

Our collaboration with Nurse-Family Partnership is deeply meaningful to us. Their dedicated nurses walk alongside first-time mothers during pregnancy and continue supporting them after their babies arrive—offering trusted guidance, encouragement, and practical support during such an important time in a family’s life.

We especially appreciate the personal relationships their nurses build with mothers, helping them navigate pregnancy, prepare for parenthood, care for their babies, and grow in confidence along the way.

There is something incredibly reassuring about knowing a mother will have a caring, knowledgeable nurse continuing to show up for her well beyond pregnancy. We are so grateful to work alongside a program that invests so wholeheartedly in both mothers and their babies.

Building the Circle: Questions About Partnering With Us

How can my organization become a Circle of Hope community partner?

We would love to hear from you! Our partnerships are built around a simple question: What can we accomplish together that would be harder to accomplish alone?

We welcome conversations with healthcare providers, churches, nonprofits, businesses, schools, community organizations, and other groups whose services or resources may benefit the people we serve.

Together, we can explore where our missions and strengths naturally connect.

What does being a community partner involve?

We would love to hear from you! Our partnerships are built around a simple question: What can we accomplish together that would be harder to accomplish alone?

We welcome conversations with healthcare providers, churches, nonprofits, businesses, schools, community organizations, and other groups whose services or resources may benefit the people we serve.

Together, we can explore where our missions and strengths naturally connect.

Why does Circle of Hope rely so strongly on community partnerships?

Because complex challenges rarely have simple solutions. Housing, healthcare, finances, education, employment, relationships, childcare, and other needs can overlap in ways that no single organization is equipped to address alone.

Our wraparound approach brings together the strengths of many organizations so that people can access a wider circle of resources, expertise, connection, and opportunity.

It also helps us avoid duplicating excellent services that already exist and allows us to be responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to us.

Can my business, church, or organization help with a specific need?

Absolutely! A partnership can be as simple as helping meet one immediate need or as meaningful as building an ongoing relationship.

We regularly encounter opportunities to help that align naturally with the skills, services, resources, and generosity already present throughout our community.

Sometimes one connection, one resource, or one timely act of generosity can remove a barrier that once felt impossible to overcome.

Who should I contact to discuss a partnership?

We would be delighted to learn more about your organization and explore how we might work together!

Please contact our Director of Strategy & Operations, Liesa Borrillo, at 352.355.6765 or liesa@circleofhopefl.com.

Whether you already have an idea in mind or simply want to begin a conversation, we would truly love to hear from you and discover what we may be able to accomplish together.
